Jose Dávila in Minebane!

The Taguchi Art Collection is one of Japan's leading collections of contemporary art from around the world, including America, Europe, Latin America, Africa, Asia, and Japan, collected over two generations by businessman Hiroshi Taguchi and his daughter Miwa. This exhibition will be held at two venues, the Akita Prefectural Museum of Art and the Akita City Senshu Museum of Art, and will introduce the unique world of contemporary art through approximately 100 pieces carefully selected from a global perspective. The title of the exhibition, "Minebane," is an Akita dialect word meaning "you have to see it." You will be able to view a number of must-see works by globally active artists, including Yoshitomo Nara, Takashi Murakami, Marc Quinn, and Keith Haring, divided into four themes: "The Workings of Nature," "The Workings of Humanity," "Monochrome," and "Color."
